This June, with great fanfare, we’re excited to be releasing a BRAND NEW book from Co—Conspirator Press, in collaboration with Transchool and designed by our fave, Raquel Hazell. This beautiful anthology features the work of students from the inaugural Transchool class, expressing a multitude of trans experiences, in a variety of genres, alongside their mentors.

Transchool is an introductory course on trans studies and writing for aspiring trans writers, ages 18-24 based in the U.S. Inspired by the letters written to @transanta, Allies in Arts founded Transchool, a summer workshop for trans youth writers across the US. Transchool students receive an honorarium to support their ability to take time off of work to learn, and all assigned reading and course materials are supplied. 

The course is led by a trans professor, Dr Ren Heintz, who runs the Center for the Study of Genders and Sexualities at Cal State LA, and all students are paired with trans author mentors for one on one feedback sessions as well as a trans therapist to support their writing practice.
