Mar 11, 2024

Description

Feminist Center for Creative Work seeks an Archives Intern for summer 2024 through the Getty Marrow Undergraduate Internship program. Our intern will support the processing, documentation, organizing, and sharing of FCCW’s organizational archive as we come up on the 10-year anniversary of the organization in 2025.

Duties and responsibilities will include working with print and material archives, as well as significantly with our digital documentation, web archives, and organizational files. In addition to supporting and learning about best practices for organizational archives, there will be opportunities for the Archives Intern to build out editorial and/or media projects that support sharing the archives with our audiences through our website, newsletters, social media, and in-person.

The ideal candidate will be extremely detail oriented and organized, with great communication skills. Experience working in libraries or archives is helpful, but not required. This is an excellent position for someone interested in learning about a relatively young, locally-founded LA arts organization and intersectional feminist creative production.

The position will be full time Mon–Fri, 40-hours per week in Los Angeles, CA (near Glassell Park/Atwater Village), with opportunities to work in person and some remotely. To apply, please send a detailed email introducing yourself, your interest in the position, and your relevant experience to [email protected].
