Join East Never Loses, the Feminist Center for Creative Work (FCCW), and the City of Santa Monica Parks for MEGA MAHJONG, an exciting event where you can play with giant lifesize mahjong tiles — a viral sensation sweeping across Asia. Experience the game like never before, surrounded by fresh air and community energy.
From 4–7PM, enjoy playing outdoors with both lifesize tiles and regular mahjong tables. Teachers will be available to guide beginners, and advanced tables will be set up for experienced players. This family-friendly event is perfect for anyone looking to connect and learn the game in a beautiful park setting. All ages welcome. Come play big, eat well, and meet new friends!
ABOUT THE PRESENTER
East Never Loses is a cultural producer of mahjong events based in Los Angeles, founded by Angie Lin (also of Mahjong Mistress). Our mission is to authentically reclaim and revitalize Chinese-style mahjong for a new generation, using the game as a tool for real-life connection, cultural understanding, and community-building.
We produce social experiences that honor mahjong’s roots while inviting new audiences into its world. Our work has been featured on KTLA, in Dazed Magazine, the Financial Times, and more. We proudly collaborate with leading cultural institutions including the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center (JACCC), the MAK Center for Art and Architecture, and the Feminist Center for Creative Work (FCCW).
