A Workshop Series to Contemplate Death with Your Ride-or-Die
What is a soul friend? A soul friend is someone you can share your innermost self with, without pretension or judgement. A soul friend can be a partner, a sibling, a best friend, an auntie, or a relative — a ride or die who you would want with you at the end of your life. Have you ever chatted with your soul friend about what you think happens after we die? Do they know what your dying wishes are? Do you know theirs?
This workshop is a space for soul friends to talk specifically about death, together. By the end of this workshop, you’ll know how to best care for each other by listening to and honoring each others’ wishes, practical preferences, and what you both find meaningful in this life; now, and later.
This workshop is open to any participant pairs, complete the form below to share your interest!
ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
Erika Lim is a friend, sister, Ako, Ninang, Madrinha, occupational therapist and end of life doula in Los Angeles. In 2020, she became trained as a death midwife with the Sacred Crossings Institute. In 2024, she completed the Ablon therapy practitioner program at the Kailukuan School of Indigenous Science infusing indigenous Filipino healing arts into her work in grief. In 2024, she became an INELDA (International End of Life Doula Association) trained end of life doula and joined INELDA as a doula educator. While she finds end of life a ripe time for unearthing love, meaning, and peace, she is most fascinated by the rich learnings of the life and death cycles that happen in our everyday life.
