The Bloom Salon is an intimate, curated open mic for Queer & Trans creators to share works-in-progress or finished performances pieces within a held and intentional container. This is a space where liberation art—work born of rage, grief, hope, or collective dreaming—meets generous witness.
We welcome unfolding voices: whether you’re sharing for the first time or are a seasoned artist presenting raw, new material, this space is for you. The evening will begin with a brief grounding ritual to arrive together, followed by a series of 5 minute performances (poetry, song, story, monologue, visual etc) built on curiosity and care, not only critique.
This salon is an extension of the From Ash to Bloom philosophy by Jade Phoenix: that creativity is a practice of becoming, and that our stories need sanctuary in order to bloom. To perform/share your work, please express your interest in this form. Slots are gently curated to nurture a supportive, courageous space. All voices are honored
To support further development and programming of The Bloom Salon, you can donate to their Patreon.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Jade Phoenix is a Queer, Trans, Filipinx, Genre Non-Conforming artist, and 1:1 creative guide for liberation art. Jade’s work is a poetic expression rooted in the multiple identities she holds and how they intersect with her day-to-day fight for liberation. Over the last two decades, Jade’s work has been featured on stages, in theatres, venues and universities across the world in hopes of bringing queer and trans artists into a practice of sacred artistry towards collective liberation.
