ABOUT FCCW

Feminist Center for Creative Work is an important multidisciplinary arts nonprofit in Los Angeles, that nurtures feminist and queer creative practices through ever-evolving collaborations, modeling and resourcing the conditions for liberatory futures to take root and grow. Through exhibitions, residencies, publishing, and resource redistribution, we provide a vital space for feminist artists and creatives locally.

In 2025, the Feminist Center for Creative Work exhibitions and programs included ongoing Feminist Synth Lab workshops, risograph and zine workshops, auto-care skill shares, Mahjong socials, and grief-centered and disability justice gatherings that foregrounded collective learning and care. The year also featured special events and exhibitions such as skin to sky kite-making and cyanotype collaborations, speculative futures seminars and conversations between generations, the 10-year anniversary benefit GATHER, and Archiving With Scissors: FCCW 10-Year Exhibit curated by LACA, which reflected on a decade of feminist creative practice.

Last year, 4,000 people attended 64 programs we hosted with 141 artists and partners, and 2026 is promising even more. We’d love your help to continue deepening our relationships with art and feminist communities in LA and around the world.
