Reports to: Communications and Marketing Director
20 hour/week, part-time permanent position, after 3 month trial period
- This is a part-time, non-exempt staff position
- Approximately 20 hours per week
- Projected $25-30 hourly rate based on internal FCCW payscale, significant paid holiday and vacation time, healthcare stipend, and professional development stipend.
- Laptop, and all necessary programs (Adobe Suite, Dropbox, etc…) provided by FCCW, as needed.
- Candidate must live in the Los Angeles area
FCCW is seeking a forward thinking, skilled Digital Community Manager. This role will work with Communications and Marketing Director and Graphic Designer to create engaging social media content including campaigns for FCCW Programming, Artists in Residence projects, Co–Conspirator Press publications, SALIMA Magazine, and other internal FCCW projects or narratives. They will also create content for and engage members on the Feminist Community Network, FCCW’s private social media network hosted on Mighty Networks.
The ideal candidate is outgoing, collaborative, and excited to find new ways to invite people into the work FCCW does. They are tech-savvy, visually inclined and open to exploring how FCCW can use social media as a tool to effectively communicate about the organization, stay in touch with varied audiences, and engage with them about the programs, artists and projects at FCCW. They should be organized, comfortable with writing copy, and able to work independently on a timeline.
Our ideal candidate has experience creating content for and managing an organization’s social media account and using platform management tools as well as editing photo/video for social. We also value the ability to improvise and create a casual, informative vibe in written copy and visual messages.
